Four worlds taking shape for Poppivo
A tour of four in-house Poppivo concept seeds, exploring the visual range behind a planned community feed of portrait games.

Poppivo is launching soon with plans for a community-created feed of portrait, one-thumb games. Our original in-house concepts explore what that shared format could support: recognizable worlds, focused actions and ideas that could inspire future creations or remixes.
CUTWING, BENDLIGHT, SKYFALL and SCRAPHOUND are four in-house concept seeds. The images show their proposed characters, colors and materials. They are concept artwork; final gameplay may change, and the gallery does not yet show published community creations.
CUTWING: a paper bird above ivory islands
A cream-and-copper paper bird crosses an open sky. Around it, ivory islands narrow into pointed undersides, while small towers and folded-looking rooftops rise from their flat surfaces. Distant buildings fade into the clouds beneath it.
The paper quality runs through the scene. The bird’s wings have visible folds, and the islands carry angular surfaces that make the setting feel related to the character. Warm copper details break up the pale shapes without filling every empty space.
There is a clear sense of height in the artwork. The bird occupies the foreground while islands continue upward and into the distance. For a portrait game, that creates a useful question: how can the final scene preserve this open space while keeping the next part of the action easy to see?
BENDLIGHT: an opaline leafling among glass and brass

BENDLIGHT uses a much more enclosed composition. A dark emerald board sits inside a brass frame, surrounded by glass-like leaves, pale flowers, and reflective surfaces. The opaline leafling curls across the board, its layered body catching lighter colors than the background.
Small brass details divide the board into a regular pattern. The plants around the outside interrupt that order with curves, petals, and rounded leaves. Those two kinds of shape give the scene a recognizable character even before any movement is added.
The contrast with CUTWING is immediate: dark green surfaces replace the open blue sky, and the framed board brings the eye inward. The design question is how much of that decorative border can stay present while leaving the central space comfortable to follow.
SKYFALL: a brass builder and ceramic towers

SKYFALL’s concept has a small brass crane robot beside a stack of teal ceramic blocks. Another block hangs from its raised arm. Gold-colored fittings, pale edges, and flower-like ornaments give the building pieces a consistent finish.
Behind them, towers and bridges rise above the clouds. The warm sky separates the foreground construction from the distant scenery. Bells, railings, and tiled surfaces give the place detail without changing the broad shapes of the robot and the stack.
The artwork puts a small character beside something much taller. That scale is part of the world’s appeal. The final portrait composition will need to keep the builder and the important part of the structure in a useful relationship as the action develops.
SCRAPHOUND: mechanical foundries over lavender clouds

SCRAPHOUND’s world art stretches across a sky full of lavender clouds. Large foundries hang in the air, with cream panels, rust-colored roofs, dark supports, and circular machinery set into their sides. More structures appear in the distance.
The open space below the machinery gives the industrial forms room to stand out. A mechanical platform frames the bottom of the image, while the buildings above suggest a much larger place beyond the immediate view.
SCRAPHOUND has a shooter direction among our in-house concepts. That gives its detailed foundry setting a practical constraint: action and threats need to remain distinguishable against the machinery. A future remix could change the setting or challenge while still needing that same clarity.
Different places to return to
These seeds share Poppivo’s portrait, one-thumb foundation while exploring paper, glass, ceramic and machinery. Planned Claude-assisted creation and remixing would let people develop more directions of their own. A new visual theme would still need a readable play area and controls that fit the format.
You can explore the in-house concept gallery on the site and join the launch-news list for updates on the planned games, creation tools and community feed. Poppivo is coming soon; a launch date has not been announced.
CUTWING, BENDLIGHT and SKYFALL now have playable browser demos alongside these concept images. Our browser play guide lists what is available. SCRAPHOUND remains outside the current playable demo.
